Cabrini Care Values Statement
Cabrini Care is a faith-informed organization that welcomes clients and employees of all faiths and backgrounds regardless of race, religion, gender, age, ethnicity, national origin, disability, handicap or otherwise. Our vision of the human person is consistent with that of the traditional teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and we seek to foster a company culture that upholds the same.
This is expressed by our commitment to being a small practice so that all children receive intensive focus and attention and families feel at ease working with their BCBAs. We also select treatments that focus on self-advocacy and are flexible in how we address behavioral challenges. Accepting a child’s “no” maintains their dignity and we strive to meet the child where they are now while gently leading them to their full potential.
Our staff benefit from our value system via salaries that dignify the work they do. They are offered competitive benefits as well as the kind of clinical and administrative support that is only possible through a small-practice model.
Cabrini Care Staff Prayers
Staff who wish to are invited to say the following prayers prior to working on a given task or meeting:
Prayer before a session:
Lord Jesus, please help me to see you in my clients. Strengthen me when I feel tired, frustrated, sad, or defeated. Help me to treat your children the way you would have them be treated. Banish from my heart all vanities and selfishness so that I can exclusively focus on the client you have put before me. Let my hands be your hands, my feet be your feet, and my voice be your voice. Sharpen my mind so I may understand their behaviors and give me the wisdom I need to treat them effectively. Help me to love those you have entrusted to my care. Amen.
For my clients:
Lord, please bless my client so they may be open to the good you long to do in their lives through me. Help them to work hard and apply themselves, knowing that we only want their good and are pushing them towards a better future. Be with them in their sufferings and help them to see you in their joys. Amen.
For my client’s caregivers:
Lord, please bless my clients caregivers that they may have the discipline and strength required to raise your special child. Help them to grow in love each day with the child you have entrusted to their care. Give them the strength needed to always choose what is best for him/her, and never to choose their own vanities. Protect us all from the evils of despair, laziness, pride and avarice. Help us to learn from the losses you permit, celebrate the victories you are happy to give, and to never lose sight that our goal in this life is to make our behaviors more like yours. Amen.
