Leadership
Françoise Nelson, MS, BCBA, LBA (MD, VA)
CEO, Founder and Chief Clinical Officer
Fran is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with a master’s degree in Counseling. She worked for 10 years at a summer camp with 2 ½ – 4-year-olds. While there she felt the call to pursue a career geared toward helping children with behavioral challenges. This led her to the field of behavior analysis, where she has been practicing for 15 years. She began her Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis in 2018 at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington D.C. In 2020, she suspended her studies to focus on her growing family and to establish Cabrini Care.
Her areas of specialty are early intervention, language assessment, and intervention, foundational skills assessment and intervention, daily living skills (e.g. dressing, feeding, toilet training) behavior reduction, and social and play skills development.
She thrives on supporting families and staff by coaching them on what to do and why to do it. Her mission is to bring the best out of others and to disseminate the application of the analysis that has taken her years of clinical practice and intensive practicums to acquire.
She enjoys spending time cooking, beholding nature, and teaching. In her spare time, she can either be seen volunteering at her church or enjoying going on homeschool adventures with her gaggle of 7 children.
