ABA Therapy
Medically necessary ABA Therapy is an insurance-funded, in-home service for children with an Autism diagnosis. Treatments are designed and overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and intervention is delivered by Behavior Technicians (BTs). These services include:
Assessment And Re-Assessment: Initial intake assessments to determine the clinical needs as determined by parents and behavioral assessments. Insurance authorizations are renewed every 6-months.
Supervision and Training: BCBA provides direct training on the individualized protocols for the child’s treatment. Clinical oversight is ongoing and ensures that treatments are having the desired effect.
Caregiver Participation: BCBAs work in concert with the experts on the child… the parents! Parents receive ongoing support and training, an important extension of treatment.
Direct Intervention: Behavior Technicians create playful and fun learning environments to draw out new skills and teach necessary foundational skills outlined in the treatment plan.
Behavior Consultations
We are experts in reducing challenging behaviors in young children. We provide support to parents to treat tantrums, oppositional defiance, aggression and more. This process includes:
Functional Behavior Assessments: Direct observation and measurement of circumstances that tell us why the child is behaving this way.
Behavior Intervention Plans: Function-based treatment that gets to the root of the problem by teaching replacement skills and turning negative behavior around.
Caregiver Training and Ongoing Supports: A whole-systems approach promotes rapid behavior change across all settings.
Language Services
When language services are paired with the powerful technology of applied behavior analysis, remarkable results can be seen. We are experts in Verbal Behavior (VB) Therapy or the application of the behavioral interpretation of language. VB is empirically validated by decades of research to treat a wide range of linguistic challenges. Our services include:
Behavioral Language Assessment: To determine the language and/or communication needs of the child from a behavioral perspective. This may include assessing if a child would need an Alternative Method of Speaking.
Verbal Behavior Intervention: Application of ABA procedures to improve areas of communication, speech, language development, and articulation.
Early Intervention 18 - 36 Months
We provide self-funded early intervention services in homes and daycare settings to children who present with language and communication delays. The child may have received a diagnosis of developmental or language delay. Warning signs can include: Sudden loss of language, delayed development of language or communication skills, or persistent behavioral challenges. If you have concerns about your child, you do not have to wait for an autism diagnosis to begin treatment. Services consist of:
Assessment: Behavioral assessment that measures the child’s performance across language, social, motor, play, and cognitive milestones.
Individualized Plan: Informed by the assessment, individualized treatment with specific, measurable goals are developed and agreed upon by the treatment team.
Treatment: With oversight by a BCBA, behavior technicians work directly with the child using play-based therapy.
Caregiver Training: Parents receive training on when and how to implement strategies to improve skills during daily routines at home.
We do not provide diagnostic services at this time.
Pediatric Services
We provide targeted interventions to address a range of challenges parents may face with their children. Some of these services include:
Rapid Toilet Training: Implementation of behavior procedures to introduce or enhance toilet training efforts while providing a rewarding experience for both the parents and the child. Success comes about with consistent oversight, evaluation, and implementation of treatment protocols. Support can be provided on one of three intensity levels:
Consultation: One-on-one consultation with a BCBA to provide strategies to enhance ongoing toilet training efforts.
Evaluation and Program Development: The BCBA will spend a 2-hour session in person with the child to determine potential barriers to initiating toilet training. An individualized protocol will be developed
Direct Intervention: A BCBA oversees a Behavior Technician implementing protocols. We establish initial toilet training skills. Parents then receive training on how to carry over intervention with progressively faded support until the child is fully independent.
Picky Eating: Implementation of behavior procedures for picky eaters while providing a rewarding experience for both the parent and the child. Success comes about with consistent oversight, evaluation, and implementation of treatment protocols. Support can be provided at one of three intensity levels:
Consultation: One-on-one consultation with a BCBA to provide strategies to enhance ongoing feeding efforts.
Evaluation and Program Development: The BCBA will spend a 2-hour session in person with the child to determine factors contributing to picky eating or food refusal. An individualized protocol will be developed and caregivers will receive training on how to implement it.
Direct Intervention: A BCBA oversees a Behavior Technician implementing protocols. We establish initial cooperating skills. Parents then receive training on how to carry over intervention with progressively faded support until the child is fully independent.
